New Orleans!

Alright so my trip. It was amazing! So Sunday it was a 12 hour ride and we finally got there and stayed at the Baptist Seminary. The dorms were really really ghetto! The really fun part was doing clubs with the kids! They were so sweet and made me feel like part of their family. One of the kid accepted Christ and it was amazing to see how curious he was about everything in the Bible! Two other kids wanted to know about how to get closer to God! We also went to a women's shelter and worshiped with them. It was so powerful to see how at their lowest point they can still praise God and trust in Him. We also did homeless ministry and it was great to help and pray for those people. It was an amazing trip!

Hey! well if Shian wins the worst blogger award.....I'm a pretty close second. I have had a CRAZY past couple of days and hardly have time to write this! I promise that I will get on it tomorrow and tell you all about my week in New Orleans! and everything else on the blog like Trendy Tuesday and Pinterest Poutporri will go back to normal (YAY). People say it's a beautiful crazy life...but honestly I felt the beautiful last week and the crazy this week. So i will tell y'all about the beautiful tomorrow!

Catch-Up

yeah, i know, i deserve the World's Worst Blogger Award. i do feel bad for not ever blogging so i hope that makes you feel better ;) but I'm back today for a quick post.

Hailey came back from her mission trip yesterday. I cant wait to hear about her experiences, hopefully she will do a post on it :)

I am leaving to New Hampshire tomorrow! I'm flying by myself for the first time, so I'm super excited and a little nervous :) Both of my parents were born and raised there so i have a lot of family and friends there. Cant wait to see them all, especially my best friend, Chastity :)

My church, The Apostolic Lutheran Church, is having it's annual conventions in New Hampshire this year. The Apostolic Lutheran churches from across America come together and its a great time of fellowship and worship.

My moms family is also having a family reunion. I'm also looking forward to that because my family is AMAZING.

Please keep me in your prayers tomorrow as i travel and please pray that God will bless our church conventions. Thank you so much!

Special Sunday Post

We don't usually blog on Sundays. But I guess today is just special. Hailey left today for a week to go to New Orleans on a mission trip.

Hailey, along with other people from our church will be having a Vacation Bible School for some of the children in New Orleans. They will also be doing street evangelism which will take you so much out of your comfort zone.

It would be so awesome if yall could say a special prayer for her this morning as they are traveling.

Okay so im about to totally kind of copy THIS post from Jones Design Company. I had actually been thinking about doing one like this before i saw it, so im going to anyway. Ombre. What is ombre? in my own words, ombre is when colors graduate, or fade into, each other. As a lover of color and design, i've been seeing ombre everywhere and i love it! Here are some of my favorite examples :)

CEF

Hey yall! So Saturday I leave for a week to go to Columbia for CEF training. I know, I have mentioned CEF before so now I just thought I'd take the time to tell yall about it.

CEF stands for Child Evangelism Fellowship. It is such an awesome ministry & I have the opportunity to work for them this summer. They are a Christian organization that focus on leading children to salvation.

This Summer, Me & other CEF employees will be going out in teams of 4 or 5 and teaching Bible Clubs around our community. I can't even begin to tell you how excited I am to see what God is going to do through me and these children this summer. I'm so thankful to be apart of this ministry & to have the chance in leading children to Salvation.

It would be so amazing if yall could pray for me and for these children this Summer. That God will work through me and speak through me as I teach these kids. Also, that these children will show up with open hearts & ready to hear God's Word.

Hey Y'all, I'm Lauren! Friends call me Lo! I'm a 20-something, born and raised in a small town in Southern Alberta, Canada. Where the wind blows fiercely, and the snow falls in truck loads (as do the Cowboys!), but when its beautiful it sure is BEAUTIFUL!

I've spent this past week camping in North Carolina with my family. I had an amazing time, so much good food and fun times and good memories :)

Not even gonna lie, as fun as the camping trip was, it felt good to take a hot, non-camp shower and sleep in my own bed instead of on an R.V. floor :)

My summer hit the ground running and i don't think it's planning on slowing down any time soon! I'm loving not having to worry about any school work (don't remind me of summer reading) and sleeping in! Summer is definitely my favorite season of the year! :)

Some things I'm looking forward to this summer:
- Trip to New Hampshire. Both of my parents were born and raised there so i have a lot of family and friends that live up there. It's a beautiful place, and I look forward to going every year, especially to spend time with my cousin and best friend, Chastity :)
-meeting new friends!
-My mom to feel better. her pregnancy has made her sick for the past weeks, but it's for a good reason and the sickness is almost over! :)
- A week at the beach. my family usually spends a week in August at Myrtle Beach and it's one of the best times of the year! Hoping we can go again this year...
-getting a job. Oh, wait. that goes on the Things I'm Dreading List. oops.
-Spending time with Hailey and Maylon! unfortunately, we haven't spent any time together yet, but hopefully this week we can! i miss them!

Whatever else happens this summer, I'm ready for it!I've been hoping to make my 16th summer a big one and the best yet! Life might throw me a curveball and all of my plans may be ruined but I'm trusting God to do whats best for me!

High Five For Friday!

Today we're linking up with Lauren for High Five For Friday. This our first time linking up with her, pretty exciting!

1.  Having a very unhealthy lunch at Kid's Planet Park. But a $3 quesidilla and 42 cent icee, I mean come on. It doesn't get much better than that!

2. The fact that I played at the park like a 5 year old but had the most amazing time ever!

3. My sister and cousins left for the beach yesterday & I'm stuck at home alone! All I want to do is lay out on the beach, get a nice tan, & meet cute beach boys. I'm totally jealous she is doing all that without me.

4. I declared my unhealthy, no working out slump over officially today! It had been going on for too long, and I can feel it starting to catch up with me. Tomorrow morning I'm planning a nice, long run :)

5. I start my job at CEF in a little over 2 weeks!! I'm so excited that I have this opportunity. I will tell yall about CEF in the future. :)

Well I hope everyone is enjoying their summer, I know I am!
